GH is boring without my babies (otherwise known as Cooper and Maxie). :( Skye is gone, and the idiots in charge completely wasted a talent like Robin Christopher, meanwhile we've got Night Shift dayplayers getting more screen time than Robin has gotten in months. But I'm happy that she decided she wanted to leave - good for her! I wish her all the best and I expect to see her on another show soon. Kiss it, GH!

Now, the Golden Globes. Sometimes I think, "Why do I even care?" But somehow I do. I think about the deserving people - actors, directors, and the like - who won't be able to get up on stage and accept their awards. I know, I know - Hollywood. The rich and famous - BOO HOO! But then I remember that these are real people, this is their job, and like anyone who produces great work, that work should be recognized and people should get their shining moment. Plus, I'm just really, really bummed out that I was robbed of getting to see Daniel Day-Lewis accept his award for Best Actor and make his speech. *sniff*

Speaking of award shows (and shining moments), the Daytime Emmy's are in June and I'm crossing my fingers (and toes and legs and...heh) that this damn writer's strike is over and done with A.S.A.P because I want to see Kirsten Storms finally get her big, shining moment. She owned GH in 2007 and I'm officially making my bold (or not-so-bold?) prediction that she will take the Emmy home for Oustanding Younger Actress. She just has to.

This stuff dates back to 2005. EEK. I left a few icons out because they should never see the light of day (ever!), and certainly there are some icons in the post you are about to view of which I'm not quite fond of, but they weren't as bad as the bad ones. It's quite fun to look back and see how my "style" has changed. I went through this whole color gradient phase, then I went crazy with brushes (the hearts, stars, and such) - stuff of which I've moved on from or use only in moderation these days (if ever, since I rarely make anything anymore).

(Cap courtesy of: The Vault)

Almost a year ago, Cooper Barrett was first introduced to us a masked gunman referred to as "Three" during the Metro Court hostage crisis. He got locked inside the vault with Maxie, and many viewers, including myself were intrigued by the guy behind the mask. Nothing about the situation that he and Maxie were in was romantic, but Jason Gerhardt and Kirsten Storms were making me want to see more and more of them together on my screen. I got my wish. It was revealed that "Three's" real name was Cooper Barrett and he and Maxie struck up a relationship. Friendship came first, but they soon became lovers. All the while, Cooper and [his portrayer] Jason were getting some great buzz and it was an exciting time to be a fan. I miss that.

Cut to nearly a year later and the character is almost an afterthought, well, unless you count him being the most obvious suspect in the Text Message Killer storyline. I hate that he is still underdeveloped because there were so many places that they could have gone with his character, and still could if the writers only cared. Sonny blackmailed Cooper into working for him, Craig/Jerry also did the same, while Ric saw that he could benefit by having him on his side. Then, of course, there was the 3M romance/relationship, and oh yeah, the issue of is-he-or-isn't-he related to Brenda. All of these stories were either: a) dropped b) never resolved, or c) never even explored.

And to top it all off, I go to message boards where I read that Jason is one of the worst actors on the show. Ugh. He's not Rick Hearst-caliber by any means, and certainly nobody is saying "hand him the Emmy!" but good God. He's still relatively new and with the exception of his first couple of months on the show, he hasn't been given too much to work with. Another thing that also annoys me is that Josh Duhon (Logan) has been praised for his acting, while really, he's not all that (if at all) better than Jason. They're both good, decent actors. And at least they have never made me cringe while watching them like I have a countless number of times while watching Brandon Buddy (Cole, One Life To Live) attempting to...act, yes, I believe that's what he was/has been trying to do.

I can only hope that the soap gods finally hear me out and finally give Cooper/Jason a front-burner storyline where he can really shine, that, or have Jason leave the show upon his own decision, make it big on prime time (or the movies) and make GH sorry that they didn't know what they had until it (er, he) was gone.

I heart LiveJournal. And though I've been terrible at keeping up with my own journal, I've decided to start a new one...this one right here. My other journal is now a private one and for mine eyes only. I want to thank everyone who visited and commented on my work - your feedback always meant a lot. I'll be reposting my old work here, or at least the ones that don't make me cringe. Also, I will be posting my own scans, and, of course, anything that comes to mind. Stick around if you dare! I won't censor myself, I'll be blunt, and some people might get offended by what I say. But you know what? That's one of the main reasons I started this place - for me. Here I can be as unhinged and candid as I please to be, whereas in other parts of the web such as message boards/forums I can't be. Join in sometime by leaving comments! If you don't agree with me, and/or you're only here for the scans (LOL) that's totally fine, too.

Two of my favorites below the cut.
